Reverend Marissa Rapoza
Pastor
Rev. Marissa Rapoza was called to the position of Settled Pastor on July 16, 2023. Growing up in the church presented many opportunities for her to serve in various ways, from children’s ministry to choir and worship leading. Rev. Rapoza graduated in December 2021 with a Master of Divinity degree from Sioux Falls Theological Seminary and is ordained with the United Church of Christ.
Since the beginning of her ministry in 2016, Rev. Rapoza has written curricula for Children’s Sunday School, Youth Sunday School and Youth Group, Confirmation, and Membership Classes. Participating in the spiritual growth and development of church members and attenders is her passion, along with journeying with people through the various aspects of spiritual life.
Rev. Rapoza has been married to her husband, Ken, since 2004. Together, they have two children, Braden and Lauren, a crazy cat named Magik, and a Mini Bernedoodle named Mollie. They enjoy family time together, hiking, going for walks, playing games, and watching their favorite TV shows and movies.

I’ve been the music director at the OCC since 2016. One of my favorite places to be is at the beautiful Steinway piano in our sanctuary! I love working with the choir each week and making music with and for our congregation. I’m originally from Madison, Wisconsin, and moved to Boston to study voice and songwriting at Berklee College of Music. I graduated from Berklee with a Bachelor's Degree in K-12 Music Education. I’ve also played and studied piano for the past 30 years. I've been teaching music in both public and private school settings for 16 years now, and currently teach 2nd-4th grade music at a public school in Medway, MA. I live in Medway with my husband, Pat, and our four boys. In my spare time, I write music and am a proud hockey and soccer mom!
