Church Activities and Opportunities to Serve

 

 

Here is just a sampling of the opportunities to be involved in our church -- 

 

Sunday School  (children aged 3 to grade eight,  meets during the worship service from September to June participation by parents encouraged)

 

Junior High Youth Group, grades 6-8

 

Confirmation Instruction,  grades 9-10

 

Adult classes at various times, especially during Advent and Lent.

 

The Senior Choir

 

The Copper Steeple Ringers Bell Choir

 

Men’s Fellowship (Fridays at 6 am)

 

Friends of Lydia women’s group  (monthly)

 

Orthodox Rocketry Club (regular meetings and launchings)

 

There are many ways to volunteer to help others at almost any time -- 

 

Many activities at the “Our Daily Bread” Food Pantry, a mission of this church;

Serving meals at the nearby Food and Friends soup kitchen;

Christmas projects sponsored by the Westside Benevolent Association;

Habitat for Humanity;

Save the Children;

Hospice;

Attleboro Area Council of Churches;

Massachusetts Conference and the Southeast Area Association of the U.C.C.

 

We also have pot-lucks, fund-raisers, concerts, a fair, special worship services, and many other events scheduled throughout the year.
